We've decided to have our wedding in Old Town Pasadena at The Beautiful Maxwell House. Leigh found it and we knew it was our first choice before we even saw it in person. We booked it the day we went to look at it - before I had even officially proposed!
If you're coming from out of town, you might need a place to stay. We've set up special pricing blocks with a couple of different hotels in Pasadena.
Westin Pasadena- $159.00/night (Valet Parking: $14/night) Hotel: 626.792.2727 Westin Reservations: 866.837.4181

Sheraton Pasadena- $119.00/night (Self Parking $18/night) Hotel: 626.449.4000, Sheraton Reservations: 800.457.7940

Both hotels offer free shuttle service within three miles of their respective locations. As luck (and careful planning) would have it, both hotels are less than three miles from the Maxwell House. The hotels are also within walking distance from Colorado Blvd, the main drag in old town Pasadena, as well as The Paseo Colorado, a big open air mall with shops, restaurants, and a movie theater.
Pasadena is home to many other attractions, such as the Huntington Library and Garden, the Rose Bowl, and the Norton Simon Museum, a great art museum just around the corner from the Maxwell House!
Depending on the traffic, Downtown LA is pretty close (without traffic, maybe 15 minutes) and if you've never been there the architecture is really amazing. Downtown you can find the Central Library (where many of our engagement pictures were taken), and the Last Book Store, where we got the books to make our centerpieces. It's a really neat store set up in one of the old merchant banks. There are also lots of incredible restaurants run by the best chefs in the state.
We're excited to see you all out here in sunny Southern California!
